£2 million Suit with Built in Air Conditioning!

James Bond

Last year we wrote about trousers that had been developed and produced which had built in air conditioning, well the Swiss have upped the game in air conditioning garment market.

New to the market (if this can even be considered a market, where is the demand for these products!?) is the waterproof, bullet proof, diamond encrusted suit that comes with built in air conditioning. Now, you might be thinking is this really a serious product or is it a joke. Well as far as we and others who have reported on this suit can tell, it is a genuine product. It is called the ‘Diamond Armor’ and will cost you a cool $3.2 million (£1.9 million).

So if you are living the James Bond lifestyle what more could you want from a suit! It is covered in 880 diamonds, black of course and we can only assume that the air conditioning will be used in temperature raising situations, or hot climates, I mean where else are you going to be wearing a bullet proof suit with steel buttons.

The creators, SuitArt have described the suit as the ‘world’s most expensive men’s dress suit’. It combines luxury and technology and will protect you from the rain and bullets and although it sounds like it is going to be heavy to wear, it has been made from lightweight material. Not only this, but it is also dirt resistant which is said to have been inspired by plant leaves. The diamonds have been added to the buttons and lapels and total 140 carats.

No luxury suit is complete without a great lining and this one is no different. The silk lining is a print of a creation by the Costa Rican artist Luciano Goizueta. The buttons have been made from steel and in total have 280 of the 880 black diamonds embedded in them.

Now the air conditioning can be switched on or off at the push of a button and obviously allows for the maximum amount of comfort through the humidification of water, according to the creators.

No images of the actual suit have been released yet but we can get a pretty good idea of what it is going to look like and we can already image Daniel Craig wearing it. Oh, and let’s not forget that there is also a limited edition watch to match. SuitArt have said the watch ‘perfects the appearance’. It is the Patravi Traveltec Fourex Limited Edition designed by Carl F. Bucherer and there have only been 125 made, one of which will come with the suit.
