LG Electronics have launched yet another new product into the air conditioning market. It is the Deluxe Inverter V which is perfect timing considering the recent reports that the extreme temperatures in the UK are likely to be here for good.

The Vice President of the air conditioning and energy solutions group at LG Electronics in the Philippines, Ted Han, has said that the new air conditioning units “have achieved virtually every world certification standard, ensuring quality and safety for its consumers.

“LG’s Deluxe Inverter V air conditioners deliver a number of new features which provide the ultimate comfort in the most energy-efficient and eco-friendly way. We trust that our customers will enjoy our newest premium line of air conditioners for a cooler summer season.

One of the reasons that air conditioning units aren’t very popular on homes in the UK is because they are usually considered unsightly, although this has been changing over recent years. LG’s new range is a combination of classic lines and high gloss finishes. When it comes to the technology there is a BLDC compressor which means that the cooling of a room is rapid and is also environmentally friendly as it reduces the consumption of energy apparently by up to 69%. This is done by a neodymium magnet as well as an oil separator. This ensures that there is a reduced amount of oil circulation which maximises motor efficiency.

In the past, air conditioning units have also been criticised for being noisy but the new innovation from LG operates at a low level of sound as well as a speed control. Ted Han explained that the unit works at a variable speed which means that the unit can constantly meet required temperature needs as opposed to a fixed speed unit which remains constant.

Another criticism over the years is that air conditioning units aren’t environmentally friendly; developments in the field are changing this. The Invert V has also embraced this with an active energy control. This allows the users to change the energy consumption by changing the maximum frequency of the compressor motor which means that at a touch of a button there will be a limit to the amount of electricity consumption. Not only does this save the planet but also the pennies too!
