It has been announced that Toshiba Air Conditioning have been shortlisted in the national technology awards next year in three categories! They are a division of Toshiba Carrier UK Ltd and the awards that they have been shortlisted for are Training Provider of the Year, Total Refrigerant Leak Protection and Management System and for Air Conditioning Product of the Year. On top of this they are also a finalist for Best Marketing Campaign as a result of their advertising over the last two years. These adverts have given the business a high profile and a vast amount of coverage across the industry.

The announcement of being shortlisted for the National Technology Awards comes not long after they were also announced as a finalist in the CIBSE Building Performance Awards. They were shortlisted for the Training Initiative of the Year Category.

David Dunn is the General Manager and he has said, “It is obviously very pleasing to be recognised by our industry peers in this way – particularly as it is for our initiatives in the vitally important areas of training and environmental protection.

“As a major supplier, we see it as our responsibility to take the lead in the best industry practice. In little over a year, we have accelerated our training initiative and established a UK-wide network of training centres, and become one of the most important providers of air conditioning training in the country.

“That is a considerable achievement, and reflects a huge amount of work and energy by everyone involved, both at Toshiba and our distributors.

“On the refrigerant front, our refrigerant leak protection system is unique in the market and gives end users and building occupants total assurance. It is winning converts among some of the biggest air conditioning end users in the market.”

The awards will be hosted next year at a gala dinner in Birmingham at the end of January. This is a great achievement for Toshiba and their great products and we wish them the best of luck for the awards!
