ECOPHIT technology can reduce energy consumption by 26%

There has been a study conducted in Singapore which shows that a new type of air conditioning system could reduce energy consumption by 26%. For countries where temperatures can be unbearable, this is great news as it means units that are usually on all day and night can now be replaced for a more efficient system.

On top of this, they found that when the back end system is optimised there is a possible reduction in energy consumption by 36%. The new technology is called Chilled Ceiling Technology and the study was carried out by the Energy Research Institute at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. Continue reading
